Séamus McCormack is a curator, writer and artist based in London and is currently Programme Manager at New Contemporaries. Previously he was an Assistant Curator: Exhibitions at the Whitechapel Gallery, London and has held various positions at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) including Assistant Curator and Project Coordinator: Exhibitions.

Curated projects include ‘Jealous Wall’, Luan Gallery; Sausage Fest, ArtBox, Dublin; ‘ROADKILL’, Irish Museum of Modern Art; ‘Traces’, Irish Museum of Modern Art.

He was contributed to and co-edited numerous publications and written on the work of artists including Haroon Mirza, Leonora Carrington, Wolfgang Tillmans, Paul Sharits, Jonas Lund, Ulla Wiggen, Christopher Williams, Janine Davidson, Elaine Leader, Jennifer Brady and David Eager Maher.

As an artist he has exhibited his work in both solo exhibitions and group exhibitions. He has been awarded the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence from the Dublin Institute of Technology; Best Fine Art Student and also won the Westmeath Emerging Artist Award.
